What is breast cancer?
Breast cancer is basically a malignant tumor that starts from the cells of the breast. Malignant tumors are group of cancer cells that invade other tissues and turn healthy cells in to cancerous cells. The tumor can spread to other parts of the body, such as the lungs, kidney, liver, and even to the brain.
Breast cancer is prevalent in women. However, you have to remember that breast cancer can also happen to men. Breast cancer is a deadly disease if it is not detected early on. If the cancerous cells or the tumors spread to other parts of the body, such as the lungs and the brain, then it will be next to impossible to treat it. Cancer can lead to a painful death and treating it will require chemotherapy, radiotherapy and in some cases, it can even require surgery to remove the cancerous tumors in the body. |
